I took some time away from the computer over Christmas and “unplugged” now I have so many blog posts to catch up on! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
Taking a small break sounds like a really good and healthy idea. Something that has surprised me is how little I actually miss my computer when I am away from it. If there is an alternative, I’ll take it. I feel a lot more alive when I am not sitting here, anyway. And I agree with you about your definition of a writer – I really like it, actually.

It’s so much easier to fritter away time on inconsequential things than to actually put yourself out there and take the risk that comes with creating. But the latter is ultimately so much more satisfying, more life-building. I’m going to be thinking about that quote a lot as we enter 2013. Thanks!
