  1. Yayyy, congrats! I’m sad you are going to be living so far away from me, but Toby and I are toying with the thought of moving east for awhile…we’ll see =] I’m SO happy that your hunt is finally over, and that you can settle in and actually start your life here (or…there…I’m in Minnesota right now).

  2. Congrats on the new digs! No more living out of a suitcase! So happy for the both of you, can’t wait to hear more about it in the weeks to come (you will tell us everything, right?).

    • Yay, thank you! It’s wonderful not living out of a suitcase anymore. I wore the same few outfits over and over for a month. And yes, I will do my darndest to tell you everything. (As soon as I have regular Internet access again.)

You got an apartment!! OHHH I am so happy for you, Cindy just asked me last night if you had found a place cause she was worried about you guys, lol

    Celebrations!

    • Aww haha, I was worried about us too. Celebrations are most definitely in order—I need to see your face again!

  4. I’m so flipping happy for you!!! You must feel so relieved. xo

  5. What great news! That must be SUCH a relief. Enjoy your nesting time!

Yay! Silver Lake is rumored to be awesome! A and I have talked about moving to LA and that’s one of the areas on our list to scope out when the time comes around. Congrats on finding a place. House-hunting can be the absolute worssssst.

    • Ooh I hope you do! We could be neighbors. And thanks a lot—it really did suck, haha. So glad it’s over.

  7. Congrats on the new home. Also, digging the converted Walmart!

  8. Congrats on finding a place!! I’m glad it worked out for you.

I can’t believe how popular that Pixar Theory has become. The guy who wrote it was in the same major as me in college and it’s crazy how widespread his work has become. I’m probably a bad classmate because I haven’t actually read through it, but I’m impressed that he’s found such success.

I’m also pretty sure I was morally offended by the Pastafarian thing when I was a Bible thumping high schooler. I’m glad I grew out of that attitude so I can find amusement in things that are amusing.

Hope to hear more from you soon about LA and all the exciting things… and good luck with the bathrooms.

  9. So glad you’ve found an apartment! – if they judge the flannel they aren’t true hipsters. Looking scruffy shouldn’t cost money, and they know this, hehe.

  10. Well, I haven’t been around too much, apparently. I remember reading about your big move to the West, but it’s apparently been awhile since I’ve been online in blog-reading capacity. Anyways, CONGRATULATIONS.. on the new apartment in the neighborhood which sounds super cool! I’m so excited for you both on starting this whole new adventure in a whole new ‘world’ – so to speak. :)

    Haha, LA is craaaazy.

Silver Lake is a great area to live in! So excited for you. A big congrats! :)

You’re following Bri Emery of Designlovefest, right? Because if not — you gotta! She’s the queen of LA, you will have sooo many amazing recommendations and places to try via her blog.

  12. I’m so sorry that I’m just now commenting on this! Thanks for mentioning your interview on my blog in your post! (And I totes love you in general, too.) I got into a funk that lasted for weeks where I was barely blogging and not looking at any of my favorite blogs. I am so over that now, though, obvs. Your pictures are so great, by the way! I’ve been scanning through all these posts I’ve missed out on (tragedy!), and there are about a bajillion I want to pin to Pinterest, so you may see them there. :) Hope you’re kicking grad school’s butt (even though it probably doesn’t feel that way, I believe you are a grad school ninja). Happy California!
