Love these photos; especially the cage one – very powerful image. The husky on the window is so adorable, dangerous, but so adorable. :) April highlights: productive at work and haven’t slacked on my blog. May: celebrate all month long my anniversary and my son’s birthday. Have a great weekend Cassie! -Iva

The husky was just the epitome of cool. He drew a crowd of Instagrammers, but he didn’t pay us any attention. Straight chillin’. ;)

Sounds like the next month will be a good one. Happy anniversary to you and happy birthday to your son!

Yayyy, such pretty pictures! I love seeing photos of Los Angeles from other friends who live here – it’s a reminder of how huge the city is and how many nooks and crannies there are to be explored, most of which I am clueless about. Also, the old Griffith Park Zoo is half awesome playground for kids, half creepy as hell. I’m not sure I’d want to be there any time but the middle of the day…I feel like there are animal ghosts that would be lurking around every corner, haha.

    • Cassie says:

Yeah, I can imagine the vibe of those cages changes dramatically at night! Creepy.

This city is endlessly photogenic and wonderful. I hope we never run out of corners to explore!

My parents and brother coming to visit was a huge highlight of my April. May holds the end of my first semester being back in school and a little trip to visit my cousins for Memorial Day weekend. I’m hoping to get out and explore my little city some more. I’m planning to read as much as I can and do lots of writing.

    • Cassie says:

I know how much you were looking forward to their visit! So glad you had a great time. Sounds like May will be another month full of highlights. Enjoy, Brianna! :)

Haha, “name on rice” is a silly phrase out of context. Maybe in context too.

Love the dog in the window one.

    • Cassie says:

Haha, both! What’s funny is I couldn’t even tell what it said until after I took a picture of it. Weird!

Lovely pictures, Cassie. Yikes on almost stepping on a rattlesnake! I would not have been brave enough to snap a picture of the little guy.

    • Cassie says:

Shortly after that photo was snapped, several large beetles appeared. That’s when I really knew it was time to get out of there.

  6. Phew- a rattlesnake?! I think I would have screamed and ran away. +10 cool points for snapping the picture. I love all these pictures, i’m craving a trip to LA now!

Waaahhh I’m still upset about that idiot crashing into my sister’s car that prevented us from meeting up :( cos did someone say BEER GARDEN?!! Mind you, i literally drank my way up the West Coast (instead of shopping), for once, so that probably helped to curb my alcoholism… a little…

The thought that came to mind with the baby rattle snake was — cute until you step on it?!

That dog in the window picture….so cute!

I cannot believe it’s already May. I graduate in a year (hopefully) !
